Lorenzo Capello and his band of Partenzisti come back.
A new album, produced by Raffaele Abbate and Lorenzo Capello. Its title is “Dagli Appendini alle Ante” (that means “From Hooks to Shutters”), and is a trip that take place in a closet. In addition to Lorenzo Capello on drums, the musicians are Tony Cattano on trombone, Antonio Gallucci saxophones, Lorenzo Paesani piano and Michele Anelli on double bass. With them, a precious featuring by the american singer and actress Echo Sunyata Sibley on “Already Left”.
The “Hookcd” takes his start directly from the concept of the first album, “Il Partenzista”. “Il Partenzista” (means something like “The Startist”) is that character that, on the contrary of the Social Climber, wish to leave, to start something at any cost. “Dagli Appendini alle Ante” is just about the moment when he decides to start his voyage. He decided to start, but something stops him: he doesn't know how to dress up, doesn't know what to leave at home, doesn't know what he has to put in the luggage, and if this luggage will close or not. Then he opens the closet, and loose himself inside it. The trip starts in the closet, with all the things that the Partenzista closet can contain: memoirs, skeletons, socket that have to been fixed, people who already left, imperfect trays, and so on.
“Dagli Appendini alle Ante” is a kind of tray with your photos in, and the appropriate soundtrack playing along.
Torna Lorenzo Capello e tornano i Partenzisti.
Un nuovo album, prodotto da Raffaele Abbate e dallo stesso Capello. "Dagli Appendini alle Ante", questo il titolo per un concept album ambientato in un armadio! Suonano oltre a Lorenzo Capello alla batteria, Tony Cattano al trombone, Antonio Gallucci ai sassofoni, Lorenzo Paesani al pianoforte e Michele Anelli al contrabbasso. Con loro, un prezioso featuring, l’attrice e cantante americana Echo Sunyata Sibley che canta e recita sul brano Already Left.
L'Appendisco nasce direttamente dal concetto del primo
album, "il Partenzista". Il Partenzista è questa figura che, al con- trario dell'arrivista, vuole a tutti i costi almeno partire. Dagli Appendini Alle Ante parla quindi proprio del momento in cui, questo nostro piccolo eroe, decide di partire. Ha deciso quindi, ha deciso di partire ma qualcosa lo trattiene: non sa come vestirsi, non sa cosa lasciare a casa, non sa cosa mettere in valigia e non sa se la valigia si chiuderà ... e allora apre l'armadio, e ci si perde dentro. Il viaggio inizia, e per ora finisce in qualche modo, dentro l'armadio, con tutte le cose che ci posson essere nell'armadio di un partenzista. Ovvero ricordi, cose da rammendare, persone che sono già partite, cassetti difettosi, ed altro ancora. Edmondo De Amicis non c'entra molto, a parte forse per il fatto che il nostro batterista quand'era bambino e stava a casa da scuola causa indisposizione si leggeva vari brani del libro Cuore. E forse per il fatto che il ragazzino protagonista del suo racconto Dagli Appennini alle Ande è ligure, povero in canna e va alla ricerca di sua madre.
